All’s pretty quiet on the deer-hunting front in Holmes County

The wetlands and woodlots of the Killbuck Marsh Wildlife Area were surprisingly quiet on Monday morning, with the opening salvos of the annual deer gun season noticeably absent. There were orange-clad hunters sprinkled around the sprawling 5,671-acre public grounds in Holmes and Wayne counties.
