Wisconsin Hunters Settle Dispute Over Buck With Coin Toss

Just hours into Wisconsin’s deer season opener, a young hunter shot and wounded a buck, but he wasn’t the only one to hit the deer.

Hunter D.J. Jorgenson and his 11-year-old son Kameron were hunting near Oneida when the boy shot and wounded a 9-point buck.

“Deer hit the ground, and it came back up, and took off running,” Jorgenson told reporters.

The father-son pair tracked the deer to their neighbor’s property. But when they found the animal it was already dead; their neighbor Randy Heyrman had shot it from his tree stand.
